Our Story
From Albania to Philadelphia — My Story
My name is Shamet Korcari, but most people in Philadelphia know me as Matt.
I was born in Albania and grew up in a family with very little money. In October 2015, I applied for the American Diversity Visa Lottery. In May 2016, I learned that I had been selected—a moment that changed the direction of my life.
On February 5, 2017, I arrived in Philadelphia with just $40 in my pocket and without speaking English. Everything was unfamiliar, but this city found a place in my heart from the moment I arrived.
I started working soon afterward alongside two Albanian master plumbers from EEE Plumbing Inc. and New Age Plumbing Inc. They were skilled, honest professionals who had contributed a great deal to Philadelphia. Working with them taught me the trade and showed me how much honesty, responsibility, and care matter when someone trusts you with their home.
That experience inspired Dynamo Drains.
Philadelphia’s aging underground drain and sewer systems need attention. I saw an opportunity to help homeowners, people buying or selling homes, restaurants, landlords, and owners of apartment buildings through drain cleaning, sewer inspections, and hydro jetting.
For me, this work goes beyond clearing a blockage. Sewage in a home or on a neighborhood street affects people’s health, safety, and everyday lives. My goal is to help prevent those problems, give customers a clear understanding of their sewer lines, and care for the community that became my home.
I am a Philadelphia licensed contractor, a registered Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor, and a NASSCO BSDI certified inspector.

Can you inspect a sewer for a home purchase?
Yes. We provide sewer camera inspections for buyers, sellers, and real estate professionals, with recorded footage and a report of the visible conditions. Let us know your transaction timeline when you call.
Does hydro jetting fix a damaged pipe?
Hydro jetting removes buildup and obstructions. It does not repair cracks, collapsed sections, separated joints, or improper pipe slope. If visible defects remain, we explain them and recommend further evaluation where needed.
What should I have ready for the visit?
Share the property address, the drain symptoms, and any prior inspection video. Arrange access to the property and any known cleanouts. We’ll confirm the visit details with you.
How often should a sewer line be maintained?
That depends on usage and conditions such as grease, root intrusion, and areas holding water. We can recommend a maintenance plan after evaluating the line.
